Kunal Ghosh claims 4 BJP MPs will join TMC, sparks speculation on names
The second day of the Jharkhand Assembly session witnessed a major uproar as the opposition raised the issue of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) exam paper leak. Even before the session formally began, opposition leaders stormed the well of the house, shouting slogans against the state government. They alleged that a network of mafias is operating across the state, involved in leaking exam papers and jeopardizing the future of students. The opposition further accused the government of shielding these mafias and failing to curb corruption in the examination process.
Demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter, the opposition leaders said that frequent paper leaks in state-level competitive examinations are destroying the future of thousands of students. They emphasized that if this continues, Jharkhand’s education system will lose credibility and students will suffer irreversible damage.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Babulal Marandi had targeted the state government and the police administration over their inaction. He questioned the government’s indecisiveness, asking, "Why has the government not yet clarified whether the investigation will be conducted by the CID or the SIT?"
Marandi also raised concerns over the arrests made so far in the case, fearing that the government might cover up the incident by falsely implicating innocent individuals while the real culprits remain free.
